Queer Friendly Sober Support Groups

Recently someone reached out about moving to Denver and wondering about queer friendly support groups - which I immediately turned to Instagram and asked the question. This isn’t the first time someone has asked Queer Denver Living for something specific - people looking for a queer friendly pediatrician, queer groups for starting a family, even mechanics. And it’s honestly been the best resource.

So as responses came in - even more responses came in wanting to know the groups. I want this article to live on the internet and not on a story on instagram so here is what we have gathered so far! Just want to add - that I have not been to these groups. And will hopefully be adding more resources!

• Denver Area Central Committee of Alcoholics Anonymous - LGBTQ meetings

• Sober Hangs Denver - a safe place for those who are sober/sober curious

• Thursday Meeting for Women Identifying at 6pm MST - hybrid (in person and online) at 1100 Fillmore (please reach out if you would like a contact/someone to go with)

• Just Living Recovery does in patient and group recovery in Lakewood

• Center on Colfax hosts queer AA/SA - meets on Tuesdays from 6pm - 7pm

• House for All Sinners and Saints - queer church with a lot of programs

• Meet up - has a ton of groups
