QUEER DENVER LIVING LAUNCH PARTY!

At the time of writing this article QDL will have been out for one month! We went live on April 1st and on April 19th (a Tuesday) we had our Launch Party at Honey Elixir Bar in Rino. It could not have been more perfect and got us super excited to have more events like these. Our goal in having the party was to introduce the magazine, have fun and do some networking. Establishing connections within the queer community and allies here in Denver is a great way to support each other down the road. It’s important to know who you are supporting and where your money goes. So we were hoping this event would serve as a safe place to make friends as well. I can confidently say we achieved our goal.

We were so honored to have the party at Honey Elixir Bar. When I first reached out to them online - they made it clear that it was inportant to them that they events they host “align with Honey's ethos, morals, and intentions.” I knew Honey was outwardly inclusive but to see their mission statement and read more about what they stood made me love them even more. Honey describes themselves as an “elixir lounge and community gathering space that offers guests a full sensory experience of health, connection, and rejuvenation.” They offer non-alcoholic “potions” and low abv drinks along with their seasonal cocktails. Jocasta and I chatted and I was ecstatic that she was onboard with the event. Their team is the best and was even in the works of creating rainbow themed cocktails!

I started working on an invite and decided the them would be - JUICY, CLASSY, PRIDE. We hired Kyle Hamilton to do some “Euphoria inspired eye make up” - which was a hit and want him at every party from here on out.

Corinna and Matt from Ignite Your Aura had a set up for mini sessions. Taking a photo of your aura and mini readings. Which was super fun. Taylor and I even did our photo together.

Juiccy Misdemeanor - who is one of our most talented Drag Queens here in Denver greeted everyone at the door.

And Sierra from Vows On the Run was our photographer for the night (all photos taken by her!). As you can see in all the photos this was literally the most fun party.

Taylor and I were overwhelmed with the love and support from everyone and we are so excited for the future of QDL and more connections with so many beautiful souls.
